Will Smith Shares His Powerful “Feel Good Philosophy” & Secrets for Success

Will Smith is a guy who inspires me profoundly. Yes, that Will Smith. The same guy who was “Getting Jiggy With It”, and  wearing a black suit to chase aliens around. Believe it or not, beyond his funny persona, the guy is actually brilliant.

I’ve discovered that side of Will Smith thanks to Youtube. Because Youtube is much more than mesmerizing time-waster, it’s also an efficient & entertaining learning tool.

Yes, it’s easy to get to lost in the depth of the Youtubesphere, come back out 2 hours later with nothing but a vague recollection of watching “fail!” videos, American idol auditions, and “Charlie Bit My Finger” for the twelfth time.

But we can also use Youtube to learn and get inspired by the people we admire the most.  I consider this to be one of the greatest gifts modern technology has bestowed upon us.

By watching this video, you’ll understand why Will Smith’s phenomenal success is no feat of chance, but very much a result of his empowering beliefs, his passion for excellence, and his appetite to live life to the fullest.

In this wisdom-packed 10 minutes, he shares powerful principles that can absolutely transform our life if we choose to apply them.

As a bonus, here are my Top 10 Greatest Quotes/Ideas from Will Smith’s “Feel Good Philosophy:

#10- “We think success must be complex. We think, “it can’t be that easy””.

Yes it can. Success is actually really simple. It’s created through the daily repetition of all the little things we know we should be doing to become our higher self.  There is no “secret” or elaborate method, and it’s within everyone’s reach.

#9- “Being realistic is the most common road to travel to mediocrity. Why would you want to be realistic?

Exactly. Plus, it’s way more fun to dream big and see the world as place where anything is possible.

#8- “I know who I am , and I know what I believe, and that’s all I need to know. “

We live in a society where it can be hard to fully express our beliefs and opinions. But to create the life we dream of, it is essential to have a deep, sometimes stubborn belief in our ideals

#7- “Greatness is something that truly exists in all of us. It’s very simple”.

The more I study great people, the more I realize that most of them are regular people. What sets them apart is that they have significantly better mental models, outlooks, and attitudes than everyone else. They have trained their mind to see the world in the most empowering way possible.

#6- “The separation of talent and skill is one of the greatest misunderstood concepts for people who are trying  to excel, who have dreams. Skill is only developed by hours and hours and hours of beating on your craft.”

Work harder (+ work SMARTER) than everybody else, and with enough persistence, success is practically guaranteed.  That’s why it’s so important to on projects we’re absolutely passionate about. Without passion, it’s very hard (and exhausting) to generate the efforts & focus necessary to achieve greatness.

#5- “I think there’s a certain disillusion quality that all successful people have to have. You have to believe that something different than what has happened for the last 50 million years of history.. you have to believe that something different can happen.”

Woaf. Another bombshell. It takes a lot of courage to defy conventions and explore the boundaries of what is possible. But it’s the people who do that that will push the world forward and make this planet better for all of us. Don’t listen to all the haters, the critics, the realists… Believe in your vision fully, and everything becomes possible.

#4 – “You don’t say I’m going to build a wall. You say, I’m going to lay this brick as perfectly as as a brick can be laid. And you do that every single day. And soon, you have a wall.”

Success isn’t created through short & furious bursts of effort, followed by long periods of inactivity. It’s created through daily, consistent, persistent action. That has been of the guiding principles in my life over the last 6 months.

#3- I am motivated by fear of fear. I started attacking the things I was afraid of.

This is another major common points between successful people. As Brian Johnson said, “our greatest successes are always right on the other side of our fear”. If we don’t learn to confront our fears with calm and focus, we can never achieve the great success that are possible for us.

#2 – If you’re not making someone else’s life better, then you’re wasting your time. Your life will become better by making other lives better.”

How powerful is that. It’s only recently started applying this into my own life, and I can attest that it’s very true.

Figure out what you’re good at, what you love doing, and use it to help other people. That’s a major principle in The Feel Good Lifestyle.

#1- “Don’t ever let somebody tell you you can’t do something. You want something. You go get it. Period.”

What more can be said. The world is out there for the taking my friends! Each one of us has the potential to create something amazing, and help make this world a better place.

But it’s up to us make it happen!!!

Good luck!

  • They call you naive & silly, I say you're inspired & caring :)

It's not always easy to be different and strive for something more… To help me deal with that I've started saying the mantra "I am totally independent of the good & bad opinions of others" 10 times every morning during my "morning ritual", and I think it's working!!

  • This is amazing and inspiring – YES! You decide – period. One of the greatest struggles that I overcame was infertility. I knew I would become a mother and never gave up. After 5 years, 13 procedures, a romantic relationship that didn't survive, I now have a wonderful son that means everything to me. Now I am focused on spreading Infertility Awareness and encouragement to others dealing with the shame and stigma of infertility!

This is my first time here and I have to say this post was terrible…………………………………………………………………………………………terribly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Dude, I always respects Will Smith for his ability to say conscious things. He's one of the very few people in this world and society who do such things. A lot of people never say things like this. His words are inspiration and the truth cannot be denied or hidden. Our greatness is within us and it's hour up hour of beating on our craft which makes it polished, popular, HIGH IN DEMAND, and LOVED BY THE WORLD!

  • Hahah LOVE It bro!

Yeah we definitely need more people like him… People who believe in their convictions 100%, and share their wisdom with the world to make it a better place.

SToked it inspired you… Now time run with it, and make your own magic happen :) I believe in you!!
